Women Empowerment, in it's true sense!

Namaste everyone, women Empowerment, so much in buzz right now. The worlds talking about it, but maybe not in it's true sense! When we read articles on women empowerment, most of it is about, women should liberate themselves, should earn on their own, be self dependent! It's always career oriented, earning on your own, having equal number of women as men in the workplace! Can you empower a woman by saying, come on get out of your house, don't just be a housewife, get a job, start something, earn on your own? Though this is not exactly what people say,  but the basis of it seems to! Unfortunately in name of women empowerment people are saying, oh you are a CEO great,oh you are a housewife poor. Somehow,  now women have also joined men in the ugly race for money in name of women empowerment. If a women really wants to pursue something as a personal choice, great! Its like, out of all executive officers only 14.6% are women, only 12.4% are board directors, only 12.5% in u...

Are you a Good Investor?

Namaste everyone, investment is something very important in our life, which we have neglected, at least in some aspects of our life. When someone talks about investment, the first thought that comes is  money,  which is very natural as we have made money more than a mere facilitator. What we must realise is that investment is not just with regard to money  but also to other aspects of our life , it might be love, time, knowledge, vote and  other things. In what we invest grows and in what we don't dies. Simple example is a sapling, if you water  it sufficiently it will grow, or else it will die. If I aspire to be wealthier, I will invest my money where it is profitable. If I aspire for good health I will invest my time in exercising. If I aspire for good relationships I invest my love and attention towards it. If I aspire for better marks, I invest my time in studying. If I don't aspire for anything, I invest rather waste  my time in entertainment and...

How Eco friendly are you?

Namaste everyone, there's so much that we talk about being eco friendly nowadays, but how are we actually able to apply it in our life?          There's this new trend that bursting crackers is not eco friendly and hence I will not burn any! Have you come across such people or are you one of them? Lets consider a simple example that if you want to grow a plant, can you water it once or twice a year? People are like, once a year on diwali no crackers, bad for atmosphere, but an everyday ride on the  automobile, doesn't affect the atmosphere! Whether I have done my vehicles pollution check doesn't matter, but one day in a year  I will not burn crackers! Instead of walking to nearby store I  will drive, but one day in a year I won't burn crackers! I will keep my vehicle switched on at the signal everyday,  but once in a year I won't burn crackers! I will keep wasting electricity on daily basis, but one day I will be eco friendly...

What is your reason?

Namaste everyone,  have you meet people whom you  ask how's business, and you always get reply market is down! You ask a child why did you get such poor marks, and tat comes the reply,  I don't like the Subject, very hard subject, teacher is not good! Every one has their own, at least one perfect excuse, which they always give. Lack of ability to do is not the problem here, unwillingness is, excuse is nothing but escapism, and our mind is the best at this! Just observe, if something goes wrong, how our mind tries to justify it and escapes  from it. You are driving on the road, and  you just escaped an accident,  it might have been your mistake too but just  observe what are your responses? Well it human tendency to justify your action irrespective of whether it is right. For every situation it is so,  the brain can find the perfect excuse to escape from it! When we truly observe such incidents in our day to day life, we will understand how we ...

The Timely Renewal

Namaste everyone, how often have we biased our thinking, our thoughts towards certain things, towards certain people in life that even if there's a change we can't accept it. There is this saying " Your first impression is the last impression", somewhere it  is very much true but unjust ! We can't hold on to one impression of a person and think why is that person still like this? We cannot stand on the same page and expect the story to be different.  Sooner or later we must realise that just like any legal agreement or insurance policy, we need to renew our thoughts, our perception.Thoughts on people, sports, entertainment and other things. Finally our thoughts from cricket as the only sport, to other sports. Maybe now when you ask a boy, beta bade hoke kya banna hai,  you can expect a different answer! From girl child as burden to pride for family , from  freedom to responsibility, from ungratefulness to gratitude. Renewal is something unavoidable, just like m...

What is your Nitro Booster?

Namaste everyone, how important is it to finish good? What if you studied really good the whole year and at the end during exams couldn't perform well?  If all the  strokes of your painting are perfect, but your final stroke goes wrong? What if you  governed any state or country very well, but just before elections made a mistake, you think you will be re-elected? You won so many matches for your country, but you missed the last shootout at World Cup Final, will people regard you as same hero? Is it really that important to finish on high note? MS Dhoni could have ran a few runs and would have won the world  cup, but he finished with a six! What if movie was so great throughout and the  climax totally let you down? Its like the gift wrap on the gift. You know the end of movie, final race, the  hero is second and has almost lost the race, but just before the end he hits the nitro booster,  zooms past his opponent and wins the race! Generally the end ...

The next Gen Addiction

Namaste everyone, people say addiction for smoking, drinking etc are very bad, but the worst addiction has trapped us all! Technology has reversed many things in our lives, people who are far away are so much more closer and the ones beside you are much far away. What was invented for communicating, is now a new source of addiction for everyone. At times when people would get up and first thing they would do was say a prayer or touch mother earth seeking forgiveness or at least brush their teeth, now we check our WhatsApp messages, before we sleep check our WhatsApp messages, in fact if you don't get a Good night message from person who wishes you daily,  you feel you will not be able to sleep. If we don't get any notification in next half hour, we check if WiFi is working properly or not! It has become much more addictive than smoking, there are chances that after master health check up report, it might be put to an end, but addiction to Technology? Sometimes its like there ...

Are you Satisfied?

Namaste everyone, in today's world there is so much to accomplish,  so many things you can have, there is no limit to it! People often say be satisfied with what you have, with what you have achieved, if you have not achieved also it's okay, you tried! Is this enough?  Is it okay to settle for something less. Spirit of participation is important  they say,  it doesn't matter if you win or lose, that is why India has never earned many medals in Olympics. From Childhood we have been trained like that, A child participates in competition,  loses and then we console the child by saying its okay, spirit of participation is important and only that will remain! For next coming years the child will participate and be satisfied with it! Yes spirit of participation is important but the spirit of winning is equally important! We need to have the burning desire to win,  we need to strive to be better, we cannot settle for ordinary things! I am not saying don't be ha...

Nature is free, but not valuable!?

Namaste everyone, in today's world many people are never happy with what they have. This is because they don't realise the value of what they have. There are so many places in our life where we don't value the things we have! There is this saying which most of us have heard,   " We value something only after we lose it ". The best example  at present is Nature, In earlier days water was abundant and free of cost, so we didn't value it, started polluting it, wasting it, until people started selling packaged water for Rs 20/L, until you have to call a water tanker and pay 1000 Rs for it! Human psychology is like this, we don't value what we get for free, so first pollute it, then realise mistake and then pay for it! How many of you can imagine a packet of unpolluted, pure air being sold in supermarket? (though some potato chip companies already are!) Now it looks ridiculous, but it might be same for person 200 years ago if you tell him about packag...

Where is this thing called peace?!

Namaste everyone, this being my first post on my blog,I would like to share something on peace. Everyone in this world are  looking directly or indirectly for peace, not ultimately but yes.Everyone in this world deserves to be peaceful, yet it is not so?Have we ever thought why?Let me be clear that when we talk about peace it is not siting quietly in meditation, it is the state of being stress free, whether while working or eating or whatever work it is! So let us get back to the question, what is stopping us from being peaceful?  From not finding car keys, to exams, to day to day work, to rocket science, there is something which is not letting us be peaceful? So what is this  something, it is our own attitude towards Peace! NO Peace and KNOW Peace, both sound the same, both may look to be different, but are they really different? Just knowing about Peace is the same as NOT knowing about peace, only if we are able to live by so, only then KNOWING and NOT KNOWING about Peace ...
