Fallen in the Pit?!

Namaste everyone, so often it so happens that we are bound by limitations. It's categorical that we want to break through our limitations, yet many a times it is not so. You see, many times people fall in a pit and there are different ways how people behave. Some very obviously just try and find a way out of it,some of them like to exaggerate a pothole to a well, for some it just becomes their comfort zone, that they just don't want to leave it.They are not willing to break through and tread forward. The first thing is to recognize the limitation, only then we can look for a possibility. Its the classical frog  in the well story. If someone who is walking by, sees you fallen in pit, he will of course wonder why are you still there? Even if the other person is trying to help you out, it doesn't make a difference until you are willing. That's the point are you willing to break through your patterns, cycles, habits or it's great amount of comfort and you want to be there...

Redefining Freedom?!

Namaste everyone, in recent times there's been too much talk on freedom of speech, this and that. One thing we always aspire for is our freedom. So, I chose to stay in hostel for an year, being self dependent, exercising my own freedom you know.So hostel being in campus, you get back from college and have a lot of free time, boredom setting in. At home, freedom makes me choose the idiot box, here you don't have it.Nevertheless the attributes to IDIOT BOX has changed, it has become more compact and smaller, that it can be held in your palm. So you have this intellectually brilliant Series which is waiting for you,1 episode or season or series done, the next one is always waiting.Freedom is choosing better version of IDIOT BOX? The next common thing in hostel is suddenly human beings are all nocturnal ,it does not matter if there's any affect on our biological clock , but because at home we used to sleep by 10 , we will make it 10 am,because we have freedom you know.Wh...

For the sake of it!

Namaste everyone, you know in today's world, we just want to do things for the sake of it! You know everyday you get a notification, it's someone's birthday & you just write 2 words on their timeline. You get something and it's in trend, you simply forward it, or like it, for the sake of it? There is some conversation with someone, hanging around for 3-4 days, so just reply for the sake of it. From taking selfies or hugging someone or bending down for blessing, is not anymore about whether you feel so or not, just for the sake of it? You know after the delhi ban on crackers, like every year some people are like go green. Yeah 1 day in a year, for the sake of it? Transportation has a huge impact on pollution , but that's everyday problem, so 1 day is better, for the sake of it? I am not trying to say that crackers don't cause any pollution, but have you done any research, we are online warriors isn't it? Livestock, especially on some occasions have...

Intention + Action!

Namaste everyone, you know people always support a lot of things. Their intention is very good, but unforunately, that's not how it works. Just having a good intention, is it enough? You need to act isn't it? Need to do something which clearly displays that you are doing what you intend. You know a poor thief, has a good intention, he just wants to steal medicines for his health? Is it okay? You know if you are thirsty, and you intend to drink water, but you are too lazy to walk to the Kitchen! Is it fine? You know maybe after 13 years , if you are not lazy enough, if you walk to your kitchen for a glass of water. You have a full glass of water, and suddenly 50% of water in your glass dissapears? How does it feel? Maybe you can try it out on a day when you are very thirsty. This is a fact, by 2030 India will have only 50% of water required for Survival. Rally For Rivers!

Namaste everyone, a few days ago I and my friend had visited Shivanasamudra Falls. It's a perrenial waterfall, formed by cauvery around 140 kms from Bengaluru. It is where the first Hydro-electric power station was set up in Asia , in the year 1902 and is still functional The ride was good, a nice scenic view, clicked some pictures also, but nowadays you don't get to see the same thing ,as surfed earlier. It was month of july, monsoon peak, a perrenial waterfall, but still seems to be just 10% of what it used to be a few years ago. We just rode around, and you see the dry river bed (most of it) of  the cauvery during monsoon! This takes me almost a year back, in September when there was a lot of hassle on cauvery water! The dramatic and horrible incidents that took place in Bengaluru and other parts, especially our college being close by, being a witness. Was just wondering what about this year? Gratefully there's not so much of issue this time, because there's hard...

Experience or Knowledge?!

Namaste everyone,  have you ever crossed a busy street? Probably yes, how much time did you take to cross it? The moment you are trying to cross, in a split second your brain is able to decide when to stop, when to start, analyse the distance, everything. Doesn't seem like rocket science, isn't it? Now if I give you a problem statement, 80 feet wide road,  10 vehicles coming towards you, distance from you x, y,z.. speed a, b, c... Draw the trajectory of your path with respect to time. Now it seems like rocket science? Whats the difference? If you are someone who took science seriously, you may able to come to the answer, but in your own sweet time. One is driven by your experience of walking, your visual apparatus  and the other by pen, paper and some formulas, one takes a few seconds and the other you should know. If you are interested in crossing the street, which seems a better way? If Einstein would have been here he would have  definitely chosen the first...

Different sensitivites!

Namaste everyone, we always feel we are the most important life on earth, but isn't it so for the other creatures. We might be able to express and live in many wonderful ways, but are we  sensitive enough like other creatures? Have you ever used a mobile phone? You are reading this post so probably you have! Suppose you had an old generation phone and you were using it to make calls, and slowly you upgrade your phone to one with a camera, then touch screen, android and you get the flow isn't it? So now with a smarter phone, if you are still  making calls, nothing else, of course you are not realising the potential of the phone. So a smart phone is still just another normal phone for you! Slowly if you start exploring more ,realise it's possibilities, you may realise wow it's such an incredible gadget, and now maybe you love your phone. Someone need not say you don't throw your phone,  or keep it safe, if you are sensitive enough, you are obviously grateful to...

I am Who I am!

Namaste everyone,  so is it a common phrase 'I am who I am'? Maybe not in saying, but in terms of behaviour, attitude? Have you heard the song' Mein aisa hi hoon', maybe you should! Often this is the punch line, when we are trying to say something to someone (need not be that we always have to say something :P), but yes and they are resistant. So we are irritated and helpless, because that's unbeatable ' I am who I am'. So maybe just try and play the song in your mind and suddenly its so funny. I am who I am, trying to be so rigid about yourself, is it a great thing? You have got to be flexible, isn't it? It's not about compromising on your value system but with  obsession with certain things, or thoughts. From movies to superstars, to vehicles to pen to relationships, to food or for that matter anything else! Whether carrot tastes good today or not, it doesn't matter,I am not going to eat it! Whether something is good or not, I am like ...

It's All in a Day?!

Namaste everyone, you  like celebrating your birthday or anniversary or valentines or any special day for that matter isn't it?So is it for everyone! So what's so special about it? Suddenly people around you are so good to you, happy and it's a great day! That's good but then it comes to things like , Oh it's your birthday today na, so it's okay no punishment! Are we still in school? If you are such a person that  people remember you only once in a year, then maybe it's good for you. Birthdays, anniversary are fine but now new things are coming up mother's day, father's day! Are we in the West? I thought for us everyday is mother's day, father's day, maybe for them, they stay away,  not in touch throughout the year,  so at least once in a year lets meet them, is it the same here or we are tending towards it? So we celebrate the day,  and escape the year? Now almost everyday is some or the other day, so we will have "being good" ...

A Night's Sleep on an Empty Stomach!

Namaste everyone,it's been a year now and continuing on,its an amazing feeling!  So, how often do you feel hungry in a day or how long can you stay away from food? Does an  empty, hungry stomach drive you  impatient, angry or is it fine for you?  Have you ever tried not eating anything for a day, j ust on water or any liquid,  or even thought about it, or you think it's not your cup of tea ,or by doing so you might die?You know you are not eating anything for a day and mind is always craving this and that, and just getting through  the whole day seems to be such a big thing, and suddenly the thought comes, if I trip off? So I will just sit down and  do nothing , try to be calm,  but again mind goes food, food! It seems the best way is to actively involve into some activity and maybe as time passes you get this  feeling that after all its not so hard!    It's not about how thin or fat you are, or about pleasing some god!  I...

The Road, Most taken!

Namaste everyone,  have you ever thought, if all the roads were free from Traffic, no sudden surprises, you just sit in your vehicle and the same straight road everyday! Wouldn't it become boring to drive? One of things that consoles me when I am struck in a jam, or when people just jump in from no where! You know, when you are travelling, and a few 100 metres away you see a red signal and it's fine, but you see a green one, and now you are pumped up, and if it turns yellow, we all know what happens next! Everytime I encounter a green signal, I just smile, and think it will be back in another 100 seconds, not to worry! At times when I am waiting at the signal, I wait for last 5 seconds, not to rev my engine, but to look at people around me, 120 seconds to go, they are waiting, 5 seconds to go, they love to break the signal, how inefficient, they could have done it 120 seconds ago! I just laugh and carry on, helps to deal the traffic better you know! 5 seconds lead on F1...

Food vs Calories

Namaste everyone , there is so much today that we should eat this, rice, ghee, not that, this fattening and various other things. One person eats rice  and he is perfectly alright but  another gains weight! Seems like so many generations have been perfectly fit with all this ghee, rice, and suddenly this one generation is finding it very difficult! Take some more rice! No No it's already too much, 2000 Calories, 500 extra for the day! Omg, so much ghee, too many Calories, such a pain! Lets play football, burns 400 calories per hour. Food has now become calories. The very fact that our thinking has changed, how do we expect proper nourishment and health? Everytime you  eat something, you  think  I am going to gain weight! What  result do you expect? Someone makes you forcefully eat ghee, with thought in mind it's going to turn to fat and done! Someone says don't eat so much, you will gain more weight, you are angry and done! When the very food we eat, we...
