Namaste everyone, a few days ago I and my friend had visited Shivanasamudra Falls. It's a perrenial waterfall, formed by cauvery around 140 kms from Bengaluru. It is where the first Hydro-electric power station was set up in Asia , in the year 1902 and is still functional
The ride was good, a nice scenic view, clicked some pictures also, but nowadays you don't get to see the same thing ,as surfed earlier. It was month of july, monsoon peak, a perrenial waterfall, but still seems to be just 10% of what it used to be a few years ago. We just rode around, and you see the dry river bed (most of it) of the cauvery during monsoon!
This takes me almost a year back, in September when there was a lot of hassle on cauvery water! The dramatic and horrible incidents that took place in Bengaluru and other parts, especially our college being close by, being a witness. Was just wondering what about this year? Gratefully there's not so much of issue this time, because there's hardly enough water to fight for!

Somewhere we all know the importance of water, someone need not tell us all that, but how are we ensuring that the same is available? What's is the point if you say okay, I will try to minimise the use of water, save it, when the source of water is drying up? This the time for us to realize what we are really going into, at least be aware of it, and do the best we can. End of the day the water is not getting lost, the amount of water is the same, it's just that now its more in the form of water vapour, oceans, humans(human body is 60% water), but we need it in form that's potable, that's easily accesible! Here's an opportunity to truly take up something that works ,to rejuvenate our country's lifeline, our rivers!
