Intellectual Integrity, Religion and Secularism!

It seems, many of my acquaintances are disappointed with my conduct, my writing, my so called Liberal attitude. This is probably the first and last time I am writing on this topic.
I was born and brought up in Hyderabad for the first 15 years of my life, a city with half population Hindus, and half Muslims. There was a time when I have been to a mosque to perform namaz, there was a time when I would visit my a Muslim guy's home at every Eid, to wish him. He would work at my dad's office, I am not sure but I don't think any of you would step anywhere in the locality, and his house. Sewaiyan at Eid was quite common a dish to have . We visited the Ajmer Dargah with our family, we never thought there was anything wrong in it, for my parent's are quite liberal in these matters. I went to the extent that I thought , I should atleast keep one roza in a year, but looking at how most of people break the roza, and eat sometimes the entire night, while just reversing the chores to be done for day-night, it didn't feel encouraging enough, and the idea of fasting on ekadashi, with fruit diet only made more sense. For if this is not enough, I have been to sunday church prayer, visited churches, wished everyone Merry Christmas( ofc eco friendly , they use trees after all).
The whole point is this, 21 years of my life, very committed to the idea of Secularism, All Religions are the Same(ARSE), there's nothing wrong on the other side. I have tried being " so called Secular", it doesn't work!
For when I wished my Muslim Carpenter on Eid last year, there was no response, for it is now forbidden to respond with an Eid Mubarak to a kaffir, a non-believer, a dumb guy who worhsips various Idols. For I have seen cases, where my house maid, has been converted to Christianity, at the price of being fed food everyday. Leave this alone, one of the most famous colleges in India, Christ, indulges in such activities . For it is not about faith, it is about numbers, at what cost, at the cost of destroying a vibrant culture, at the cost of devolution of humanity, with telling people you don't have to work, we will feed you for free, if you come into our faith. I can give some more examples, but I think these are enough to make my point clear.

I have made a point that for whatsoever reason, I am not going to enter any of these places of worship again, not in Bharat, its a different thing if I am visiting Jerusalem, Bethlehem , but not in India! For its not about respecting their faith, it about what they promote at the end of the day. At the end of the day, if you have the arrogance that we are second grade human beings, and need to be converted at whatsoever cost, and save the non-believer's from the Judgement day, establish Pure land and all B.S. Then you don't deserve the recognition of being an equal faith or whatever.

When I look back at all this, there's only one problem Intellectual Integrity, when you are committed to an outcome, when you know what you are going to get in heaven, when you storngly believe that this is the only way, you either lack the integrity to accept I don't know, or more so often the case is that you are indoctrinated since childhood, and have lost the capability to question.
Asking questions, no matter who the authority is, no matter how long the history has been, the ability to use you rationale, and then  have the Integrity to accept something completely different.

But alas, it is a very rare quality which only few men/women posses. A quick example is Mr Devvdutt Pattnaik, he has written almost 40 odd books, which includes Hindu Mythology, but after this wonderful career, if someone points out that your translation of Sanskrit to English itself has errors, leave alone interpretation , then do you have the Integrity to accept your mistake and scrap 20 years of your illustrious work? Of course not.
If it is the case with one person, how do we expect the same from religions that have been here for 1500-2000 years?
Hindu religion being different, because of its ability to question, introspect has been the only Culture in the world, which keeps a dynamic check on its biases with the fundamentals still on and traditions alive!

P.S. I am not here to convince people which is better, I am stating my stance on the topic, I don't intend to sound very pleasing nor very arrogant, I don't care about your opinion ,unless they have the filter of Intellectual Reasoning, common sense or I value the relationship. Most likely I don't value most of your opinions, and in any case, if I would, I keep it to 2 cents.
There are two stages in a person's life , Vada when you are in the debate mode, when you question and try to understand things around you. I have thankfully passed through my stage of Vada, though not completely established in my Siddhanta, I do not wish to engage in any kind of Vada or Samvada, unless the above conditions are met.
I really hope that people are allowed their right to engage in Vada, and hopefully make it to Siddhanta.
Yes it sounds very arrogant, but it is my humble request, unfriend me and save me from the unnecessary bullshit, for time is precious and life is short to be wasted in all this anymore, for 21 years is a good amount of time.
And if all this still flies above your head, don't worry then a block from my side is inevitable, no matter how closely I have known you till now.

Miss you Maa!

My grandmother's life revolved around her family, whether it was shopping for her grandchildren, planning for their weddings, doing evening Bhajans with them. The family was her central locus of operation, from keeping tally of house expenses, daily pooja, visiting temples, traveling. 5 years ago she had a paralytic attack which left her left leg paralyzed, she was able to recover from it with her strong will power but it was never the same, a couple of months later she started showing symptoms of dementia and Parkinsons, her dinacharya and responsibilities took a toll though she never gave up doing Hanuman Chalisa and Sunder Kand every day. We still managed to go out at least once a month for a temple visit along with eating her favourite food Paani Puri outside. In 2019 we went for a small pilgrimage to Kanchipuram along with her and some of my relatives for darshan of Athi Varadaraja Swamy when he was raised from Amritha Saras which happens once in 40 years, unlike us she couldn...

Sabarimala,Women and Menstruation!

All right, so this issue of women of menstruating age, aren't allowed to enter the Sabiramala Temple, and the recent judgement which comes as a relief to the previous blunder of defying the practice. When movies like Padman, Toilet are released worldwide, it gives us an idea of what the general mentality of people is, with respect to hygiene and menstruation , in modern day India. Though it is sad to look at , what's even more depressing is the take on the situation prevelant, trying to potray it as a culture which considers menstruation as something impure, women a class lower to men. It is indeed disappointing to see all the cultural failures, when people fail to recognise that the Kamkhya Temple,Assam where the devi here is worshipped in the form a Yoni. They celebrate the Ambubachi Mela, a festival marking thedevi going through her annual mensuration cycle. A culture where menarche is celebrated in many places across India as Ritu Kala Samskara, whe...

Where is this thing called peace?!

Namaste everyone, this being my first post on my blog,I would like to share something on peace. Everyone in this world are  looking directly or indirectly for peace, not ultimately but yes.Everyone in this world deserves to be peaceful, yet it is not so?Have we ever thought why?Let me be clear that when we talk about peace it is not siting quietly in meditation, it is the state of being stress free, whether while working or eating or whatever work it is! So let us get back to the question, what is stopping us from being peaceful?  From not finding car keys, to exams, to day to day work, to rocket science, there is something which is not letting us be peaceful? So what is this  something, it is our own attitude towards Peace! NO Peace and KNOW Peace, both sound the same, both may look to be different, but are they really different? Just knowing about Peace is the same as NOT knowing about peace, only if we are able to live by so, only then KNOWING and NOT KNOWING about Peace ...

Sexuality and The Divine!

It is the sad reality of modern India, that we have become subservient to Western/ Victorian Morality, we are slowly turning into such sick hypocrites that it is difficult to even start a conversation, in these lines. So, if a thirteen-year-old boy/girl who has just hit puberty, getting into their teens and they go to watch a movie with an intimate sex scene playing right out there, what to do you expect? You expect the boy/girl not go get aroused, not to think in those terms, just watch it like it is a passing scene, act like they are 40-year-old grown-ups? It is not very simple as it sounds, what is it that is the repercussion, consequence of it? Either you accept the western way, accept that intimacy in teenage is quite common, and it's all right to choose that path, or are you looking at it from a point of view that it's not the right age, and maybe hence not morally just, to choose it. But herein lies the problem, you don't have the guts to debate either of th...

Free of Cost?!

I was at my office and a lady walked in,  started her story of how she came to Bangalore with her children and husband and, how she is staying at the railway station, and needed some money. She trying to play the emotional victim, threw at me a list of people who have given her 100,200 rs each. I just asked her one question, what have you done in the last 4 days to find a place/job to work? She tried to reinstate her community card and I was adamant at the question. All the drama stopped, she took her piece of paper and walked out with sense of anger. I continued to do my work. You drive to a signal and there's a man dressed in a saree trying to molest you and take some money. Alright in Sanskrit I learnt Puling (male), striling (female) and napunsakling, it is very clear that our ancestors knew that its alright, there was no need to negate or promote it. But now, for what it seems(at least 80% of the cases) is that, it's a very easy way to earn money and moreover on what ba...
